The path to success is an often tortuous road, characterized by challenges that require perseverance and determination. It is never a stroke of luck, but the result of a constant commitment to excellence, which entails commitment but also great satisfaction. As in the case of Ghidini1961 which, since its launch in 2016, has now become a high-end international brand. A result that has its roots in the long tradition of metalworking and in the capacity for strategic innovation that the Ghidini family has been able to pass down to generations. Without ever forgetting the love for the territory, the importance of the artisans and the harmony between the teams because creativity also lives on sensitivity. A know-how that today has led the company to be an undisputed player in the premium sector.
The artisanal spirit: from workshop to high-end brand
And to think that everything comes from brass chandelier components. It was 1961 when Giuseppe Ghidini – born in 1924 – after learning the family “trade”, moved to Sarezzo, in the province of Brescia. Here, determined to start his own business, he sensed the potential of this market and created Ghidini Giuseppe Bosco – a small company, but with a strong entrepreneurial vocation – which still works successfully on tailor-made projects today. With the passage of time and the support of the second generation, the company evolves: Gianni and Roberto Ghidini – the current CEO – focus on the development of new products and an international distribution strategy. In 1983 the new headquarters was inaugurated with a 12 thousand sqm foundry which became the fertile ground for the entry of the third generation at the end of the nineties: Marco, Enrico and Giuseppe. The rest is history: in 2016 Ghidini1961 was born and its first collection of table accessories, accompanied by limited edition and artistic pieces.
Roots are important
With the Ghidini1961 brand we therefore wanted to emphasize a very important year for the company because in 1961 the decision was made by the Ghidini family to pursue a commercial and artisanal activity destined to grow.
A tireless commitment: high manufacturing and style research exported to the world
Ghidini1961, still today a point of reference for die casting, is a consolidated company ready to grow thanks to the extraordinary ability of its products to embody that mix of innovation and design methodology, which is the result of the union of knowledge, craftsmanship and expert workers. It’s thanks to this that, since 2020, the company has successfully extended its presence in 60 countries, with a network of multi-brand stores and collaborations with renowned architects and interior designers. An expansion that now looks with interest to Asian and Middle Eastern markets, where demand is constantly increasing. The reputation has been consolidated thanks to the uncompromising quality and experience that stands at the highest levels globally. Just take a look at the recent collaborations with big luxury brands (watchmaking, shipyards and hotel chains) and fashion which increasingly choose the brand to complete the furnishings of their boutiques or hospitality spaces.
From accent pieces to a total home look
In just eight years, the company has gone from the production of table accessories – now iconic – and artistic objects to a complete furnishing proposal which, in addition to lamps and accessories, includes eighteen families of sofas, twenty-eight chairs and armchairs, fourteen dining tables, and twelve cabinets and bookcases. Not to mention the latest line of handmade beds and rugs. Even if at the heart remains die-casting metal, over the years the company has explored new materials, demonstrating great skill in mixing them. From the fourteen varieties of marble, such as Portuguese Rose and Rosso Levanto, to precious woods such as mahogany, oak and walnut, up to natural fabrics and leathers, obtained thanks to important partnerships with suppliers such as Dedar, Kvadrat, Rubelli and Jab. At Ghidini1961 everything speaks of excellence as told by Roberto Ghidini, the CEO who leads the team of creatives, artisans, engineers as well as product, technology and marketing experts. «Haute manufacturing is, historically, our heritage and has become our way of distinguishing ourselves in the varied universe of contemporary design. A value that passes through every single piece of the collection, of which we are proud to carry out all the production phases internally, with peaks of excellence that have no comparison in the industry, such as the structures of the sofas which are completely in die-cast metal, to guarantee an unaltered beauty in the long term.” From Andrea Branzi to Alessandro Mendini, from Paolo Rizzatto to the Campana Brothers, from Richard Hutten to Stefano Giovanni, to name just a few, collaboration with renowned designers did the rest. An increasingly consolidated team that once again speaks of growth.
