Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, said in the Press Conference of Toyota Booth Opening, “This year, we exhibit under the concept of ‘Mobility for Everyone’ by offering the variety of products including several new models.
Starting with the ‘Hybrid Zone’, As you may know, last year in Thailand BEV mix increased from 1 to 10%, but HEV mix also increased to more than 12%. And from January to February in this year they continued to increased that BEV mix reached to 14% and HEV mix reached to 22%. It shows the customers’ trust on hybrid.
As a pioneer, since Toyota launched the “Camry HEV” in 2009, our total HEV sales reached 196k units. Toyota offers “peace of mind” in all aspects to our customer through our complete value chain including product, services and to financial packages.
In this zone, there is the new Corolla Cross which was launched last month and Yaris Cross which was launched at the end of last year. Both models received great feedbacks from our customers and achieved good sales result after launched.
On top of it, there are a wide range of HEV models such as Camry, Corolla Altis, INNOVA ZENIX to meet customer’s usage and lifestyle.
“Next is the Hilux series area. Although Pick-up market faced very difficult situation last year, our Hilux Revo gained more than 40% market share which was the highest since 2011.
In addition, new Hilux Champ was launched end of last year. Thankfully, there were plenty of positive feedback as the vehicle could create future and also captured the new customers. Based on it, Toyota became No.1 in Pick-up segment and gained around 47% market share from January to February this year. Furthermore, new Hilux Revo was introduced last week.
Starting with the “Hilux Revo GR-Sport 4×4” which is our flagship model inspired by Rally motorsport. It is Wide Tread and all new design with outstanding performance based on the special tuned “2.8 GD Super Power engine”, “Suspension” and even “the Brake”. It was confirmed based on the experience of Asia Cross Country Rally.
Next is Hilux Revo Z-edition on both Double cab and Smart cab. We adopt a new exterior design that looks sleek and aggressive. It would suit the customers who loves to decorate their cars into their own unique desires. We also add VSC and HAC in both models to promote safety further.
And the last one is Hilux Revo Smart Cab Pre-runner and 4×4. We expand a front exterior design from Revo-D which were well received from Thai customers.
In addition, all models meet Euro 5 standard to reduce the PM2.5. I believe that New Hilux Revo together with Hilux Champ will meet the customers’ needs further from heavy to light loads and private use.
Additionally, together with our partners, we will implement the stage session to share comprehensive business solutions and our conversion ideas for both private and commercial uses. On top of it, we prepared exclusive offers for all Hilux models.
Also, we exhibit variety models such as “Yaris Ativ and Hatchback”, Fortuner and Veloz which were best-selling models last year in the respective segments. We offer various attractive campaigns
