This is one of the vehicle developed under Multi-solution Technology that Mazda bring to showcase as a sample to represent of Mazda’s future product and technology development guidelines which aim to provide multiple electrification solutions to customers. This reinforces Mazda’s commitment to deliver automotive technology that is environmentally friendly and sustainable according to the Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030 to preserve our beautiful world to uplift the quality of lives and create the sustainable society for people of the next generation.

Recently, the automotive industry has undergone a transformation based on the evolution of digital technology and entry of new brands. This has resulted in automotive products, which are more diversified and the values from vehicles which people are looking for are rapidly changing. Although innovations and digital technologies are making our lives more convenient and comfortable, they sometimes have a negative impact to the earth and the environment. Therefore, this is a highly critical issue for automotive makers, including Mazda, to take responsibly for the earth, society and people of the next generation, by developing automotive technology that not only helps attract customers, but also uplifts the quality of lives and preserves our beautiful earth.

Throughout time, Mazda has been making efforts to develop and provide fun-to-drive products, which is in line with our human-centered approach to uplift and energize people through the driving experience. At the same time, we understand that we should contribute to help solve environmental problems with automotive products and technologies based on Mazda’s mid-term management plan and Sustainable Zoom-Zoom 2030.

During a transition period to EVs, we will offer a variety of solutions to customers, including internal combustion engines, electrification technologies and alternative fuels that are appropriate for each region, based on our Building Block concept. These solutions can be seen in some of the products that were already launched globally, such as the Mazda CX-60 PHEV in Europe and Australia, and the Mazda CX-90 PHEV in the Americas and Australia as well as a concept car of the MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV announced in Europe. These products are in Mazda’s first phrase, in which we focus on strengthening our technology development for the age of electrification from 2022 to 2024.

The second phrase, from 2025 to 2027, is the transition phrase to electrification. Mazda will develop “Unique ASEAN Products” or products that are specifically designed for customers in the ASEAN markets. After that, towards 2030, Mazda will launch new products that are environmental-friendly and offer excellent driving performance, including a full-fledged BEV to strive for carbon neutral. We also expect that, in 2030, Mazda’s EV ratio in our global sales in 2030 will be between 25% to 40%.

All of this represents Mazda’s journey toward the future of delivering joy of driving and fulfilling people’s lives through our vehicles. This is our approach that we are focused on to create social sustainability and to make people love and believe in our brand.
